If you want a single drawer of tools that cover most of your smaller socket needs, then this Sonic 142-piece set is the right fit. Included in this set are three Sonic ratchets, one standard 1/4", a standard 3/8", and a flex-head 3/8" ratchet. Sonic ratchets and sockets are made from Chrome Vanadium steel while bit sockets are made from hardened tool steel. The flank sockets have reliefs in the corners, allowing the socket to bite into the flats of the fastener, mitigating the chance of stripping.

Four 1/4" extensions and three 3/8" extensions ensure that you have all the length you need to reach the fastener. Additional universal-joints and adapters offer tons of flexibility. Three spark-plug sockets in 16mm, 18mm, and 21mm covers most of the manufacturer's spark plug configurations. Finally, E-torx, Torx, and Hex-key socket bits complete the set. (SKU: 214201)

    As Great As It sounds

    As someone who already owned a good amount of 1/4" and 3/8" sockets I wrestled with whether or not it was worth it to spend the money on this combo set. I was able to justify it two ways. First, the sheer number of specialty sockets that are needed to work on a modern BMW, and second, the amount of money I would be saving by doing even some simple work on the car myself. Sure I could've bought some of the specialty sockets as singles or in small sets here and there and definitely come out cheaper and with less overlap in tools, but then you run into having several socket rails or just having a drawer full of loose sockets rolling around. Let me just say as far as the "SFS" and tools go they are just as nice and convenient as advertised. The foam fits my S8 tool box drawers perfectly and looks amazing. All of the tools have a place and snugly fit into the foam cutouts. If you don't mind spending a little more for professional tools and an awesome storage system then this combo set is for you.
